The set timber is a vertical beam that divides a multi-wing window or a combination of doors / balcony doors and windows vertically in width. It is firmly connected to the frame and gives more stability to the whole construction. Since this vertical subdivision is also called a post, the overall construction of the timber and frame is also known as a post-and-beam construction. The construction element thus makes large window areas possible and influences the appearance of the façade.
