A series of windows side by side, preferably installed horizontally in a wall, usually identical in appearance or manufactured in the same style and extending across the whole or a significant part of the building wall. Window bands are a sign of classical modernism, an architectural movement that strived for more visibility and freedom, which developed in Europe from 1920 onwards.
